KCISD Students Shine at State UIL Competition with Medal-Winning Performances

Today marks a proud moment for Karnes City ISD as senior Crista Mireles secures the 2024 State Silver Medal in 3A UIL Poetry Interpretation. This achievement adds to a series of successes for KCISD at the state level, highlighting the exceptional talents and dedication of our students.

In addition to Crista's outstanding performance, senior Bel Barrientez clinched a Gold Medal in News Writing, demonstrating excellence in journalistic skills. Furthermore, senior Ava Cummings also made her mark by earning a 6th Place Medal in News Writing, showcasing the depth of talent within our journalism team.

These accolades were supported by the guidance and mentorship of their dedicated sponsor, Mrs. Martinez, who played a crucial role in preparing the students for their events. A video celebrating these three State Medalists underscores the hard work and commitment that went into achieving these honors.

Congratulations to Crista, Bel, Ava, and Mrs. Martinez. Karnes City ISD is immensely proud of your achievements and the positive light you've cast on our school community through your dedication and success at the state competition. Your accomplishments inspire us all!
