Mr. Lopez is a 2017 graduate of Karnes City High school where he actively participated in Band, Art, UIL Journalism & Academics, and NHS. Mr. Lopez began his teaching career in KCISD in 2022 and currently resides in San Antonio, TX.

After graduating from KCHS, Mr Lopez attended Texas Lutheran University where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education. While at TLU, Mr. Lopez was an active member of the TLU Wind Ensemble, The Hounds of Sound Pep Band, TLU Clarinet Choir, and the Splinter Reed Quintet and was a clarinet section leader. Mr Lopez is currently working on his Master of Music in Music Education through Lamar University.

Mr Lopez is currently an active member and musician in the Heart of Texas Concert Band and performs regular concerts in the San Antonio area. Mr Lopez's other professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educator's Association, Texas Bandmaster's Association, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, the Association of Texas Professional Educators, and Tau Beta Sigma.
