Mr. Lopez is a 2017 graduate of Karnes City High school. Mr. Lopez began his teaching career in KCISD in 2022 and currently resides in San Antonio, TX.

After graduating from KCHS, Mr. Lopez attended Texas Lutheran University where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Music Education in 2020. While at TLU, Mr. Lopez was an active member of the TLU Wind Ensemble, The Hounds of Sound Pep Band, TLU Clarinet Choir, and the Splinter Reed Quintet and was a clarinet section leader. Mr Lopez is currently working on his Master of Music in Music Education through Lamar University.

Mr. Lopez currently plays clarinet with The Heart of Texas Concert Band in San Antonio. Mr. Lopez's other professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educator's Association, Texas Bandmaster's Association, the Association of Texas Small School Bands, the Association of Texas Professional Educators, and Tau Beta Sigma.
