KCJH Principal

Michael Sandroussi, M.Ed., is proud to serve as the Principal of Karnes City Junior High. With five years in administration, Mr. Sandroussi brings a strong passion for leadership, student success, and building meaningful relationships on campus. He earned his Business Degree, Alternative Certification in Math, and Master’s Degree in Educational Administration through Texas A&M University–Corpus Christi.
Coming from a family of educators, Mr. Sandroussi knew early on that he wanted to help guide students toward positive and successful futures. Before stepping into administration, he proudly served Karnes City as both a coach and math teacher, experiences that helped shape his leadership philosophy and deep connection to the community.
As principal, Mr. Sandroussi believes strongly in servant leadership. His goal is to serve students, staff, and families while creating unity, accountability, and a culture where everyone feels supported and valued. He credits the incredible staff and positive campus culture at KCJH as some of the things he loves most about his role.
Mr. Sandroussi is passionate about helping students understand that academics deserve the same pride and dedication as athletics and UIL activities. He hopes to continue pushing data-driven instruction and leading the campus toward an A rating because he knows KCJH students are capable of achieving great things. At the same time, he believes learning should be enjoyable and memorable, which is why the campus emphasizes incentives, celebrations, dances, and opportunities for students to have fun while growing.
One of his favorite parts of the day is greeting students as they arrive on campus each morning alongside staff members. He also treasures opportunities to celebrate both students and teachers, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week and 8th Grade Promotion ceremonies.
To Mr. Sandroussi, being a Badger means having pride, heart, and a commitment to doing the right thing. He believes Badgers show up for one another, work hard, and lead by example. His message to students is simple but powerful: “Lead, contribute, and impact your world.”
Outside of school, Mr. Sandroussi enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, and fishing.
