    Work Experience:

US Navy: Electronics Technician, 8 years (1998-2006)

Started working at Karnes City ISD in 2013 as a Substitue Teacher while enrolled in college. Two years after enrolling back into school, I earned my Bachelor's of Science degree in Technical Management. I continued my education and ended up earning my Masters of Information Systems Management degree. Also after completing my Master's degree, I had the opportunity to start my first year of teaching at Karnes City High School. I taught only part-time since I was already working in the Technology Department. I taught Business Information Management I and Dual Credit Business Computer Information Systems (for CBC & KC Early College HS). In 2017, I took on my current full time position as High School CTE Teacher and Academic Adjunct Instructor for CBC. I am delighted to be a part of a great campus team here at Karnes City High School, and I am looking forward to preparing our future generation to be technology ready for any of their future educational and/or career path(s) that they choose.

    Other Info:

I moved to Karnes County in 2005. I lived in Kenedy for 3 years before moving to Karnes City (since my kids were attending school in KC). My wife also works for KCISD as the Primary School Library Paraprofessional. My oldest son (KCHS 2017 Graduate) is attending Texas Lutheran University in Seguin. He is pursuing a degree to become a Music Educator. I have two other children currently attending KCISD. Chris is a Junior, and Bethany is in 7th grade. We currently have two dogs and three cats. We are a proud Badger family.

    Why Teach?

I do have a passion for sharing my knowledge with others so that they can become successful either now or in the future. Below are a few reasons why I chose this new path in my career:

    1. To encourage students to be successful in all that they do.
    2. To be a positive role model so that my students are prepared to be successful in their future educational and working careers.
