Ms. Penny Schumacher is the sponsor of our Annual Club.
The annual club is dedicated to preserving the events that occur within each and every school year. This is a monumental task, and those students involved each year are valuable. The annual staff is open only to seventh and eighth grade students and is limited to no more than 15.
Because we produce a photo ready layout, there is a great deal of work that goes into each and every page of the annual. Every single picture, caption and list must be hand produced and hand placed. The layouts are sent to the company ready for immediate print. This involves hours of cutting, typing, taping, and creating. My staff is instrumental in producing this fine product!
Over the last few years we have tried hard to improve the quality and increase the size of the annual we produce. We feel very strongly that each and every event and activity needs to be represented. Students work extremely hard throughout the year, and their accomplishments need to be recorded. Whether they are performing in the band, pounding on the football field, running around the track, or competing in a UIL science competition, their efforts are important and need to be accurately recorded in order to fully understand the make up and diversity of our school. We are proud of each of our students and feel our annual represents their uniqueness, diversity, and talents.
The annual can be divided into four sections: faculty and student pictures, sports, clubs and activities, and 8th grade graduation. Each section holds valuable historical information for each student involved. Below is a more detailed list of the various activities, clubs, and sports represented in our book:
As you can see, our students are involved in a wide array of activities. Along with these we include as many caption shots as possible in order to show both the serious and the fun side of our pupils. Our goal is to adequately and completely record these events.
